Short stay Taipei

Excellent location with a metro station within view of the hotel. The metro in Taipei is excellent, easy and very clean. Room was very large as was the bathroom. Staff was helpful and polite, most speak English. Outside of the center, and the green hills across the street were lovely. Did not use the pool or have the breakfast. Tea and coffee in room, along with a fridge. Many places to eat within walking distance. Very comfy bed!

The gym was so small it was a closet. The staff seemed like they didn't want to be bothered.

The room is pretty big and near to shilin market. Pretty near to the train station as well

The attitude of the staff was unfortunately not up to par as compared to my stay in other tango hotel. This is especially so when we check in on the first night. No one helped with the room or the lift or even smiled when we were struggling with our luggages and young child. They were busy chatting with each other and receiving phone calls

Shilin market is a short 7min walk away. Subways is also conveniently situated right in front of the hotel.

Room was a little small. The round table took up too much space.

Very good hotel in spite of a few details which need fixing (see above) and where we’d love to go back.

Very comfortable room, great bed, superb shower and very pleasant view on the Mountain. Great toilet with 26 function buttons—all indicated in Chinese but the graphics help!

Lousy TV programme selection ( no international news channel, some Asian sitcom and translated US 3-rate movie channels, duplicated channels etc.), standoffish front desk staff (it should not be too difficult to teach them to greet guests when they come in and go out) with the exception of one young guy who helped us find theatre tickets, lack of variety for breakfast (but very friendly staff in the breakfast room)

Lovely stay at the Tango

Spacious room with excellent amenities! The Jacuzzi tub was great! Location is also good, walking distance from shilin night market and the MRT station.

Pity that the room was only at the 2nd floor, so there was no view.

Superb

Location was superb, close proximity to Shilin night market and also the National Palace Museum (direct bus). The nearby Yuan Shan knoll is within walking distance and provides a stunning vista of Taipei city at night. The hotel is also right next to the Red Line and is only ~25min away from city center (Taipei 101).

The hotel elevator card reader is a bit tricky to use, you'll have to simultaneously press the floor button and scan your card, which is pretty difficult with a single hand to operate.

Good hotel to stay. Location close to Sjilin night market. Japanese toilet.

Had problem with room lights. Suddenly all lights started flashing in the middle of the night. Staff was not able to solve the problem. Had to sleep in another room. Breakfast did not meet my expatation.

Fabulous boutique choice to explore Taipei

Lovely clean and new property in great location….leafy views, big windows, yet steps across street to Jiantan MRT which took us everywhere plus walking up Jiantan mountain and exploring Shinlin on foot. Red line MRT a few stops into downtown or onto Taipei 101 and also goes out to Tamsui and Beitou. No. 30 bus direct to excellent National Palace Museum. Comfy beds, great showers and bathtubs. Nice staff and boutique feel, especially at breakfast.

We loved our week in Taipei and the Tango, but a few items to note. Modern room lights have bright blue led switches which light up the room…we covered 12 light sources with sticky notes to mute for better sleep. Privacy on toilet a bit limited but glass seems to be common design in Taiwanese trendy hotels! Pool and hot tub not open. Gym in basement garage ok, but a bit small and limited. No smart TVs.

Excellent location, comfy, great value for money.

Well thought out design, very comfy, functional and clean room right opposite the train station. Short walk to Shilin Market. When we were in a rush we requested assistance to check in our bags and staff were very friendly and helpful. There's a bubble bathtub with changing lights and TV in the bathroom. Automated toilets and curtains, even the study chair was very comfy!. Love this place!

Exceptional

excellent stay with my family, I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Both rooms have comfortable beds and bathrooms (Japanese style toilet and very good Jacuzzi with ambience lights and TV). I am very happy my room has 4 TV in total haha even in front of my Jacuzzi. Great view with mountain at balcany, cooling sensation. Very clean room with great service from overall staff. Excellent breakfast with ala carte style. Definitely will stay here for more nights when I go to Taiwan again.
